GeoChip 4.0

GeoChip4.0 contains 120,054 distinct probes, covering 200,393 coding sequences (CDS) for genes in different processes. Among them, 36,062 probes are specifically designed for the human microbiome, and covered 47,979 CDS. In addition to updating functional gene families from previous versions of GeoChip to the latest NCBI protein repository, 257 new gene families, which belong to bacteriaphage, stress, virulence and 19 key metabolic processes for the human microbiome have been added to GeoChip4.0 to target more microbially mediated processes. As a new version, GeoChip4.0 was developed on a NimbleGen 12x135K array platform that each chip contains 12 arrays.
